About Me:

I am the author of the novel The Life of the Mind (Hogarth, 2021) and La Captive (Fireflies, 2024), a short book on the Chantal Akerman film of the same name. I regularly contribute to publications such as The New York Review of Books, Harper’s, Bookforum, and The New York Times Magazine. I am the recipient of a 2025 Guggenheim Fellowship in fiction, a 2023 Robert Silvers grant, and the 2023 Anthony Veasna So Fiction Prize. I have a PhD in English from Columbia University, and I live in Brooklyn with my husband and our two sons.
